‘Bullet Train’ Starring Brad Pitt To Be Release In April 2022

The upcoming action thriller film Bullet Train starring Brad Pitt will have its release date in 2022, it was announced this week. The film is based on the 2010 thriller fiction book Maria Beetle by Kōtarō Isaka. Bullet Train will be directed by David Leitch, who is best known for directing Atomic Blonde in 2017, Deadpool 2 in 2018 and Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw in 2019. Leitch also served as an uncredited director for the hit action movie John Wick starring Keanu Reeves in 2014. Columbia Pictures, 87 North Productions and Fuqua Films will serve as the production companies for Bullet Train while Sony Pictures Releasing will distribute the film.

Bullet Train will feature a star-studded cast alongside Pitt, including Sandra Bullock, Joey King, Andrew Koji, Brian Tyree Henry, Michael Shannon, Zazie Beets, Logan Lerman, Karen Fukuhara, Masi Oka, Hiroyuki Sanada and Bad Bunny. While not much has been revealed about the film’s story and characters, the plot description for the film states: “Five assassins find themselves on a Japanese bullet train, realizing that their individual assignments are all interconnected.”

The film has been described as a mix between the 2014 action film Non-Stop starring Liam Neeson, which took place on a plane and the iconic 1994 action thriller film Speed which took place on a bus. The latter of these two films starred Bullock in the lead role. It has yet to be seen if Bullet Train will be a faithful adaptation of Isaka’s book or will depart from the original source material. Many fans are still excited to see Leitch direct Pitt, Bullock, Shannon, Koji and many of the other talented actors in this highly anticipated action movie.

Bullet Train is slated to be released in theaters on April 8, 2022.
