K-pop group BTS has cancelled the South Korean leg of its worldwide spring tour due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The band’s performances for April 11, 12, 18 and 19 at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium have been canceled, according to a statement released by its label, Big Hit Entertainment.
In the statement the label said that “the current global coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has made it impossible at this time to predict the scale of the outbreak during the dates of the concert in April, alongside increasing uncertainty about the cross-border movement of concert staff and equipment.”
All ticket sales will be refunded, the label said.

“While we hope that the situation will improve, we must take into consideration the health and safety of hundreds of thousands of guests as well as our artists and the dire impact a last-minute cancellation may have on guests from overseas, production companies and staff,” Big Hit Entertainment said. “We have thus determined that with approximately one month left before the Seoul concert is set to begin, it is unavoidable that the concert must be cancelled without further delay.”
Other artists, like Green Day and Stormzy, have canceled the entire Asian legs of their tours.
South Korea has experienced the largest outbreak of coronavirus outside of China. Countries, including the United States, have issued advisories against traveling to South Korea. The disease has spread to more than 50 countries and territories worldwide.
South Korea has put “emergency measures” into place, which lets the government bar visitors from China and lock down cities. South Korean car company, Hyundai, closed a factory Friday after a worker tested positive for the disease, halting production. The government has put $13 billion into emergency funds in an attempt to cushion the economic blow of the coronavirus.
