Bruce Willis & Demi Moore’s Daughter, Tallulah Willis, Embraces Her Autism Diagnosis As A ‘Superpower’

Tallulah Willis, daughter of actors Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, is finding new ways to thrive after her autism diagnosis last year. The 30-year-old entrepreneur and artist recently spoke about her experiences and latest business venture.

Willis, who received her autism diagnosis in 2023, says the news brought a sense of clarity and self-acceptance. “It’s validating to understand that these experiences aren’t just in my head,” she said in an interview with People. “I don’t feel the need to be less of myself anymore.”

The diagnosis has helped Willis develop strategies to manage her daily life more effectively. She emphasizes the importance of self-advocacy and clear communication about her needs.

“I’m taking more responsibility for my requirements instead of expecting others to intuitively understand,” Willis explained. “The diagnosis has opened up new ways to discuss these topics without self-judgment.”

Willis has channeled her creativity into a new business collaboration alongside her personal growth. She recently launched a capsule collection with the luxury silk brand Kumi Kookoon, Kumi KøøBuu. The line features vibrantly dyed silk products, including throws, bed sheets, duvet covers and pillowcases.

Willis initiated the partnership three years ago, drawn to the company’s existing products. She was particularly interested in the blankets’ weighted nature, which she finds comforting due to her sensitivities.

“There’s something very safe and special about that weighted feeling,” Willis noted, explaining how it aligns with her newfound understanding of her autism-related needs.

While embracing her diagnosis, Willis is quick to point out that autism manifests differently for everyone. She views her condition as a “superpower” and acknowledges her position on the higher-functioning end of the spectrum.

“It’s my own unique journey,” she said. “I feel very fortunate, and with that comes a responsibility to create awareness, especially about late-in-life diagnoses in women.”

Willis expressed gratitude for mental health professionals working to support individuals with autism. She emphasized the importance of approaching the topic with love and without judgment.
