Bruce Springsteen signed a tardy note for a young fan, who attended his concert that stretched late into the night.

Bruce Springsteen Signs Tardy Note

Xabi Glovsky had accompanied his father, Scott Glovsky, to Bruce Springsteen’s sold out Los Angeles concert last week. During the show, Xabi had held up a sign that read, “Bruce, I will be late to school tomorrow. Please sign my note :),” reported the New York Post.

Fortunately, Springsteen spotted the sign and had the father and son duo escorted backstage. On a piece of paper, Springsteen wrote Xabi’s late note for him. “Dear Ms. Jackson, Xabi has been out very late rocking & rolling,” the note read. “Please excuse him if he is tardy.”

Afterwards, Scott took to Twitter to share a picture of Xabi with the note and sitting next to the “Born to Run” singer. “Bruce Springsteen signed Xabi’s tardy note for school tomorrow,” Scott Glovsky captioned the pictures. “He is as genuine and gracious as you think he is!”

Scott added that Springsteen took the time to meet with them before he met with some of his more famous concert attendees.

“Although there were many musicians and celebrities at the concert, we were the first people to see him after the show,” Scott told the Claremont Courier. “He asked him for the name of his teacher, and how he spelled his name. He then pulled out a piece of paper and a pen. As Xabi sat next to him on the couch, Bruce thoughtfully created this beautiful note.”
