Bruce Springsteen Plays Surprise Show At New Jersey Bar

Springsteen took over close friend Joe Grushecky’s scheduled concert at Wonder Bar in Ashbury Park over the weekend. The New Jersey rocker performed an astounding 15-song set, including “Never Enough Time” and “Because the Night.”

“It was thrilling,” said Debbie DeLisa, the owner of Wonder Bar.

According to DeLisa, once word spread that Springsteen was in town, so many people rushed to the bar that the crowd spilled out into the street.

Grushecky and Springsteen have been friends for over 30 years, and the two have frequently collaborated since 1995 when Springsteen produced Grushecky’s LP American Babylon.
