Brooke Shields recently published a memoir There Was A Little Girl: The Real Story of Mother and Me in which she details her then-boyfriend Andre Agassi fit over her guest-starring role on Friends.

The story goes, that Shields played Erica Ford who was stalking Matt LeBlanc’s character Joey. The two have dinner together and the insane Ford starts kissing and licking Joey’s “life giving hands.” Shields laughed through the first take and according to her memoir, Agassi, who was onset that day to support her, freaked out on the soundstage and claimed that she “made a fool” of him. Agassi then stormed off, drove from the L.A. set to his home in Las Vegas and “systematically smashed and destroyed every single trophy he had won, including Wimbledon and the US Open, never mind all the others.” Shields recalled that she spent three years getting replacements of the trophies made. Despite this incident, the couple married and divorced shortly thereafter.

“I could not form a sentence. I kept shaking my head as if I had duct tape across my mouth,” Shields recalls. “It hit me all of a sudden—I knew I had made a mistake. I did not want to be married… I wanted to be a bride but I shouldn't have been married yet.”

They pair was only married two years and during the divorce Agassi allegedly told his estranged wife, “Be happy that we don't have children or I would not have made this easy for you.”

Shields and Agassi are currently married with children—just to different people.
