University of Cincinnati student Brogan Dulle’s suicide still has police searching for a motive.

No Motive Found In Brogan Dulle Suicide

Dulle, 21, had been missing since Sunday, May 18, after apparently going in search of his cell phone, and was found dead Monday night. Dulle’s body was discovered in the basement of a house that neighbored his apartment. His death was determined to be asphyxiation by strangulation, as it appeared he hanged himself with a cord, reported Cincinnati's WLWT.

"I think we have a lot of questions which we might never get an answer to," said Assistant Chief Dave Bailey. Bailey noted that it appeared as though Dulle climbed a fire escape and used a crowbar to break into a top-floor window. A bottle of wine was found near Dulle’s body. There was no suicide note located.

The coroner ruled that Dulle had most likely died on the night he had gone missing in search of his phone. His phone has still not been recovered by police.

"We cannot express in words our gratitude for all the love and support we have received. No act by the thousands of volunteers and supporters in Cincinnati and beyond has gone unnoticed, and we wish we could thank each and every one of you in person," the Dulle family said in a statement. "Brogan, we will always love you and we miss you deeply. We are still a family of eight. It's just that now one of us is being carried inside the rest of us."
