Brittany Mahomes Says Fans Who Slammed Her For Liking A Trump Post Have ‘Deep-Rooted Issues’
Brittany Mahomes responded to social media users who condemned her for liking a post on Donald Trump’s Instagram account.
Last week, Mahomes’ followers noticed that she liked a post on Trump’s account which outlined the Republican Party’s platform for the 2024 presidential election, such as “large tax cuts for workers,” stopping “the migrant crime epidemic” and keeping “men out of women’s sports.”
Screenshots and even a screen-recorded video suggested that she liked the post. Mahomes never publicly shared her support for any candidate in the 2024 election or any other election.
She has also never liked any other post from Trump and does not follow him on Instagram. But the like exposed her to a torrent of criticism from social media users.
“Brittany Mahomes just outed herself as a Trump supporter,” one person stated.
“Patrick Mahomes, imagine marrying someone who doesn’t care about your rights and your kid’s rights. Brittany Mahomes agreeing with Project 2025 but married to a black man with mixed kids is insane,” the user @millylovesmilly wrote on X.
“I don’t get how people with kids would still vote for a known child rapist/felon,” another user said. “Guess people like Brittany Mahomes prefer the tax breaks over child safety.”
Mahomes responded to the criticism she had been receiving in an Instagram story.
“I mean honestly,” she wrote in her story. “To be a hater as an adult, you have to have some deep-rooted issues you refuse to heal from childhood. There’s no reason your brain is fully developed, and you hate to see others doing well.”
Last December, Taylor Swift and Mahomes were seen hanging out at the Packers-Chiefs football game.
NBC tweeted a video of these two, wearing matching red and black outfits, escorted into the stadium together. The singer watched the game from the box with her friend, and the two ladies were seen cheering their team on and hugging.
On February 11, Mahomes and her husband, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, kissed the Vince Lombardi trophy after the Chiefs won against the San Francisco 49ers 25-22.
