Britney Spears, 28, may have been criticized in the past few years for her unintelligent decisions – a quickie Vegas wedding and annulment, shaving her head – but it seems the pop icon is turning herself around. Case in point: Making an appearance on Fox’s hit show Glee was her brainstorm, according to creator Ryan Murphy. "Well, it’s her idea. She sort of wants to do a ‘Where’s Waldo?’-type thing with ‘Where’s Britney?’" Murphy revealed while promoting his latest film Eat Pray Love.
Spears’ manager, Adam Leber, began a Twitter campaign this spring to have a Spears-themed episode on Glee. "Do you guys want to see a Britney Spears episode of GLEE?” Leber tweeted. Spears will be appearing in a season two homage episode, similar to the Madonna and Lady Gaga episodes in season one, though neither appeared in the actual shows. Murphy confirmed that while the Spears-themed episode is definite, it is not set whether or not the "Toxic" singer will make an onscreen appearance.
