Britney Spears has finally spoken out about how she was portrayed in the documentary, Framing Britney Spears.

In a Instagram post, Spears responded to the FX documentary for the first time since its February release. Framing Britney Spears looked the highs and lows of Spears’ career and the role the media played in her breakdown.

“My life has always been very speculated… watched… and judged really my whole life !!!” she wrote as she danced in the video posted alongside it. “For my sanity I need to dance to @iamstevent every night of my life to feel wild and human and alive !!! I have been exposed my whole life performing in front of people !!!”

“It takes a lot of strength to TRUST the universe with your real vulnerability cause I’ve always been judged… insulted… and embarrassed by the media… and I still am till this say !!!! As the world keeps on turning and life goes on we still remain so fragile and sensitive as people !!!” she continued.

“I didn’t watch the documentary but from what I did see of it I was embarrassed by the light they put me in… I cried for two weeks and well… I still cry sometimes !!!!” she revealed. “I do what I can in my own spiritually with myself to try and keep my own joy… love.. and happiness !!!!”

Spears added, “Every day dancing brings me joy !!! I’m not here to be perfect…perfect is boring… I’m here to pass on kindness !!!!”

Fans were quick to question if the “Toxic” singer actually wrote that message, as she is under a conservatorship.

“Instead of dancing, can we get a video of you typing your own captions next time?,” Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause commented. “I want to believe you it’s you speaking for yourself but I am skeptical… We love you!”

Last month, Spears filed a petition to remove her father, Jamie Spears, as her conservator as she still battles her decade-long conservatorship. While fans are supporting #FreeBritney movement, fighting to help Spears out from under her dad’s control.
