Britney Spears has removed Instagram posts following backlash over her dance videos, revealing that the criticism has deeply affected her mental health.

The pop star shared that she removed one of her dance clips due to the harsh comments. “I took the video of myself dancing down because so many people said so many mean things… if they only knew how severe my sadness is,” she wrote.

The 42-year-old singer, who often shares spontaneous dance routines, admitted that the negativity has taken an emotional toll. “It is a f–-ing miracle from God that I played and danced, period. It is insane!!!” she added.

Spears revealed that she almost canceled a recent beach vacation because of her sadness but eventually found some comfort in the trip. Reflecting on her emotions, she said, “I was sad, then I looked through my phone and was like, Damn, there’s so much I haven’t even shown, but it saddens me people say mean things about me.”

In the post, Spears addressed her critics, saying, “I’m so damn sick of people saying they are concerned. If you don’t like the way I move, f–- off and don’t watch it!!!”

The “Toxic” singer’s candid remarks come amid ongoing public scrutiny of her social media presence. Over the years, Spears has faced criticism from notable figures like Ozzy Osbourne, who commented on the repetitive nature of her routines, and Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller, who said her performances made her “cringe.” Comedian Kathy Griffin also mocked one of Spears’ viral videos featuring knives, saying, “A person can be too free.”

Despite the backlash, Spears has frequently defended her right to self-expression. In 2021, she famously told detractors, “If you don’t want to see my precious ass dancing in my living room or it’s not up to your standards… go read a f–-ing book 📕!!!!!”

Spears’ decision to delete her account highlights the mounting pressure and criticism she has faced after her conservatorship battle and return to public life. While some fans rallied behind her, others questioned her behavior, leading to what Spears described as a struggle with “severe sadness.”
