Britney Spears Reunites With Mother Lynne Spears After 3 Years Of Fighting

In a social media post on Thursday, Britney Spears said that her mother, Lynne Spears, 68, had visited her for the first time in three years, suggesting a mending of their relationship.

“My sweet mama showed up at my doorstep yesterday after 3 years … it’s been such a long time … with family there’s always things that need to be worked out … but time heals all wounds !!!” Britney wrote.

She continued, mentioning that she was able to share her long-held feelings with her mom.

Above the caption, Britney posted a photo of herself when she was a child dressed in a pink ballerina tutu.

Britney and Lynne have had a strained relationship since the dissolution of her conservatorship in November 2021. Britney was initially placed in the conservatorship in 2008 after a mental health crisis that received heavy coverage in the media. Just before it ended, Britney criticized her mom in an Instagram post, saying that she was the person who gave her dad the idea to start the conservatorship. As a result, Britney didn’t invite her mom or father, Jamie Spears, to her wedding last summer to husband Sam Asghari.

In August 2022, Lynne reached out to her daughter, writing on Instagram that she always tried to “support [her] dreams and wishes” and “help [her] out of hardships.”

But last December, Britney finally spoke to her mother through an Instagram post during a trip to Mexico. “Mom and Dad … I crossed the border and I made it !!! After no coffee for 15 years … Mom we can go have coffee together now !!! I’m treated as an equal … let’s have coffee and talk about it !!!”

Recently, rumors have circulated that Spears and Asghari are having marital problems.
