Britney Spears’ Ex-Husband, Jason Allen Alexander, Attended Trump Capitol Rally

Britney Spears‘ ex-husband Jason Allen Alexander was seen at the pro-Trump rally-turned-riot on  Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

Alexander, who was famously married to Spears for only 55 hours after they were hitched in Vegas in 2004, posted a selfie to Facebook on Wednesday morning. He sported a Trump “45” beanie and was pictured with a crowd of Trump supporters behind him.

DC. Millions showed up

Posted by Jason Alexander on Wednesday, January 6, 2021

In the caption, the 39-year-old wrote, “DC. Millions showed up.” Thousands of protestors showed up in support of the president outside the Capitol, where Congress was working to certify Joe Biden‘s win. Hundreds stormed the Capitol building, some breaking in through doors and windows to loot and riot, causing Congress members to go into lockdown.

He also posted videos from the event and wrote in one caption, “Where all my patriots I’m on the Trump Train what will you tell your grandkids.” His Facebook page also features other pro-Trump posts, as well as anti-masker content.

Alexander is not new to protesting. In August, he was spotted at a #FreeBritney protest amongst her fans. “I’m here to show support for the #FreeBritney movement and Britney,” he told UsWeekly at the time. “This is an unfortunate situation that’s been in her life for a long time. It’s affected me and her, and that makes me part of it. I’ve been quiet for 10 years, and I feel [like] what a good time to come forward now with the movement making noise and the conservatorship hearings going on.”

Another famous face was also seen at this week’s Trump rally, Lawson Bates from the reality TV show Bringing Up Bates. He confirmed on Twitter that though he and his brother did take part in the protest, that they did not participate in the violent mob that stormed the Capitol.

“I’m sorry you haven’t done your research (or maybe you have and just didn’t like the truth) but this was a peaceful public event at the Ellipse, and not at the Capitol buildings,” he wrote in response to a tweet that claimed he participated in domestic terrorism. “We were not there and have ALWAYS roundly condemned violence, as we still do.”
