Multiple news outlets claim that those close to Britney Spears were worried for her due to her mental health and planned an intervention.
However, it was canceled at the last minute.
The intervention would have involved Spears being taken to a house in the L.A. area where her husband, Sam Asghari, her manager and doctors would be present for her to receive medical treatment and counseling. Plans apparently changed when Spears became aware of the plan.
She did meet with a doctor on the night of February 8, but the details of the appointment remain unclear.
Spears has been acting increasingly strangely and those around her have grown more concerned.
This pushed many members of her inner circle to encourage her to get help.
On Thursday, Spears addressed the reports on Instagram where she posted a quote that read, “A state of gratitude will shift you to a higher frequency.”
“It makes me sick to my stomach that it’s even legal for people to make up stories that I almost died … I mean at some point enough is enough,” Spears wrote. “I’m probably going to have to stop posting on Instagram because even though I enjoy doing it, there’s obviously a lot of people who don’t wish me well !!! I’m honestly not surprised at all … Again doing the best I can !!!”
In a statement, Asghari said that the intervention did not occur and that the speculation on her health by the media was inappropriate.
This commotion comes after the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office received multiple calls last month from fans concerned about the pop star deleting her Instagram account that prompted a welfare check from the local police.
