Kevin Federline is unhappy with his ex-wife Britney Spears‘ recent Instagram post after she shared several claims that he once refused to see her when she was pregnant with their child.
“She should be very careful about pursuing a dialogue that’s based on revisionist history,” Kevin’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said. “That story about Kevin in Las Vegas and Britney is completely erroneous, and he’s not going to stand by and let that story besmirch what he did and his support of her back in the day.”
The former couple were married from October 6, 2004, to July 30, 2007, and starred in their reality show, Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, which lasted just one season in 2005. They share two children; Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15. The “Gimme More” singer has 30 percent custody of the boys, while Federline has 70 percent.
Kaplan also added that his client would not stand such accusations made by the singer.
“He will not support her in her pursuit of freedom from fact,” he stated. “When she starts talking about the way things were when Jayden and Preston were infants … that’s completely fabricated. Kevin is not going to let that stand by and let that be the portrayal of fact.”
This is not the first time Spears has gotten into trouble posting ramblings to her Instagram account, having previously made claims against her family members.
Spears is currently expecting her third child with partner Sam Asghari and opened up about the experience she had with her previous pregnancies in a since-deleted Instagram post last week.
“I was mean as hell… it was beyond me… I think the thing that made people so uncomfortable was the fact I was unbelievably SILENT,” Spears said. “But geez my ex-husband wouldn’t see me when I flew to New York with a baby inside me and Las Vegas when he was shooting a video!!! As the ice hit my tongue, I got a text saying ‘If you don’t divorce Kevin he will publicly do it to you.’ Since I hadn’t seen him in a while I already knew it was over…”
