Britney Spears was issued a summons by the California Highway Patrol after driving at an “unsafe speed for prevailing conditions.”

According to court records, the singer was pulled over by the authorities on March 10; no details about the speed she was driving, her condition or her destination were revealed.

This comes after the “Toxic” singer shared, in a since-deleted post earlier this month that her conservatorship had made her feel “like a hopeless old woman,” and she wasn’t allowed to drive alone for 13 years.

“Now, going forward, I’m not willing to meet or see anyone I’m not with — (I’ve met with) enough people against my will, I’m done,” she said in testimony against the conservatorship last summer. “All I want is to own my money for this and my boyfriend to drive me in his f—ing car.”

Spear was released from her conservatorship on November 12, 2021, and has since enjoyed her regained freedom in doing things she was previously limited from, including driving.

Spears is scheduled to appear in court for the traffic citation on May 3, 2022. Last week, she announced that she is pregnant again.
