Britney Spears will keep her drivers license and avoid jail time. After four deadlocked jury votes in Los Angeles Superior Court, the judge in her reckless-driving case declared a mistrial. Spears, 26, faced a charge of driving without a valid license in a case that arose from an August 2007 incident in which she was filmed leaving the scene after hitting a parked car. Prosecutors also charged that Spears, who held a Louisiana license, should have had a California permit as a long-time West Coast resident. Prosecutors said they would not seek a new trial.
