Olympic diver Tom Daley is giving fans a look into this year’s Olympic Village.

Daley shared a video of the cardboard beds that athletes are sleeping on in Paris. The beds have been a subject of conversation since the 2020 games.

“This is cardboard,” he said about the headboard in his TikTok. “Then you’ve got the mattress and then this cardboard with the mattress on top with a mattress topper. And then, we get our own Paris ’24 [comforter].”

Daley then jumped on the bed, showing off how “sturdy” the contraptions were. He has dealt with the cardboard beds before, as he won his first-ever Olympic gold medal at the 2020 Olympics.

The cardboard beds were introduced in 2020 and are jokingly referred to as “anti-sex” beds. Organizers of the Tokyo Games denied rumors that they chose the beds with this in mind, and the organizers of the Paris Olympics said they brought back the beds as part of a sustainability effort.

“We know the media has had a lot of fun with this story since Tokyo 2020,” organizers said in a statement. “But for Paris 2024, the choice of these beds for the Olympic & Paralympic Village is primarily linked to a wider ambition to ensure minimal environmental impact and a second life for all equipment used during the short period of the Games.”

The 2024 Paris Olympics will kick off on July 26, with the opening ceremony beginning at noon Eastern Standard Time.
