Bristol Palin is engaged to her longtime boyfriend, Dakota Meyer, a U.S. Medal of Honor recipient.

Palin, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin‘s eldest daughter, broke her engagement news on Instagram Friday. The 24-year-old captioned a loved-up snap of the two,“Truly the luckiest girl in the world, cannot wait to marry this man!!!!”

Palin also gave her followers a close-up view of her new ring.

Meyer also took to Instagram to announce the engagement, gushing over his soon-to-be wife.
“I’m definitely the luckiest guy ever to be able to spend the rest of my life with [Bristol],” he captioned a picture with Palin. “#shesaidyes.”

Bristol was previously engaged to Levi Johnson, with whom she has 6-year-old son Tripp.
