‘Bridgerton’ Star Nicola Coughlan Cashes In On Her Proudly Plus-Sized Look With New Modeling Contracts

Actress Nicola Coughlan has secured a six-figure deal with Neutrogena after the success of her recent campaign for Kim Kardashian’s SKIMS.

The 38-year-old – known for her roles in Bridgerton and Derry Girls – is set to front a new campaign for the skincare brand.

The Irish star—who is said to have already shot her first campaign for Neutrogena—will join a growing list of stars, including Jenna Ortega and Nicole Kidman

A source close to Coughlan told The Sun, “Nicola has filmed her campaign for Neutrogena and is thrilled to be on board with them.”

They added, “The deal is worth six figures, which is a great payday for Nic to kick off 2025. Away from Bridgerton, Nicola has become a huge star in her own right. Getting signed up by Kim for SKIMS was massive for Nicola in building her CV, and when Neutrogena came knocking, she jumped at the chance.”

Last June, the actress was announced as a celebrity SKIMS model after starring in a promotional shoot for the shapewear brand.

Over the past several years, Coughlan has risen to fame after capturing the public’s attention for her role in Derry Girls. Her success then skyrocketed when she landed the role of Lady Penelope Featherington in Netflix’s Bridgerton.

Aside from her success as an actor, Coughlan has been praised for promoting body positivity.

While attending a special screening Q&A last June, a journalist commended the actress for her bravery in taking on the role – a remark that some later considered backhanded.

Coughlan responded to the comment, saying, “You know, it is hard because I think women with my body type — women with perfect breasts — we don’t get to see ourselves onscreen enough. And I’m very proud as a member of the perfect breasts community. I hope you enjoy seeing them.”

While Coughlan is now in the spotlight, she has previously admitted that her journey to stardom was not easy.

“I was 31 when Derry Girls happened,” she said in an interview with Marie Claire. “It’s important for people to know I wasn’t an overnight success. In my twenties, I didn’t have money to be living in London and going to a million auditions. I had to work full time, and it was hard.”
