Actor Brian Austin Green posted a video to Instagram yesterday explaining that he has been laying low because of a recent battle with the chronic disease ulcerative colitis for several weeks that left him “pretty bedridden for a while.”
Green recorded the video to thank his wife Sharna Burgess, a professional dance partner on Dancing With The Stars, for taking care of him while also being “six, seven months pregnant, taking care of my three young kids.” Burgess clearly had no hard feelings and responded with a sweet comment reading, “Baby this was beautiful and unexpected. I love you, and I’ve got you.”
It’s unclear what exactly is “beautiful” about getting diagnosed with a painful inflammatory bowel disease, but we’ll take Burgess’ word for it. Symptoms of the disease are painful, and there’s no need to go into any details, simply imagine what symptoms you may have from bowel disease and it’s probably covered.
Ulcerative Colitis is unfortunately a chronic condition that can’t be fully cured, but doctors have treatments to put the disease in permanent remission, though some patients have to get surgery to deal with more severe cases.
