Brett Michaels had a teary meltdown following his firing by Donald Trump in the first episode of this season's Celebrity Apprentice All-Stars.

Michaels came out on top during the Celebrity Apprentice season that aired in 2010. “Bret totally went into the show believing he was going to win again,” a source told Radar Online. “He couldn’t believe it that he was let go so quickly. It was brutal to watch him freaking out the way he did.”

As the episode of Celebrity Apprentice was coming to a close, Trump had to eliminate either Michaels or Latoya Jackson. In the suspenseful final moments, the real estate mogul opted to send home the Poison frontman, much to his surprise. “It was a mess when Bret was told the news and filming was done,” the source continued. “He couldn’t stop crying and even the producers were trying to comfort him. No one expected him to have a meltdown like that.”

Michaels, a lifelong diabetic who dealt with having an emergency appendectomy, a brain hemorrhage and a hole in his heart within a few months of each other in 2010, was playing on behalf of the Life Rocks Foundation-National Philanthropic Trust.
