Jolie is a United Nations ambassador for refugee issues and has worked with the UN Refugee Agency for eight years. Antonio Guterres, head of the refugee agency, calling Pakistan's refugee issue "the most challenging humanitarian crisis of the past decade," with more than two million people are currently displaced after government troops went on the offensive against the Taliban.
