Bradley Cooper sported long hair and reflective sunglasses on set of his upcoming film A Star is Born.
Cooper looked casual on set in a tight fitting navy tee shirt and jeans, but kept a dour look on his face. He and girlfriend Irina Shayk welcomed a daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, into the world just over a month ago on March 21.
He plays an alcoholic country star in the film, which stars himself alongside real life singer and American Crime Story actress Lady Gaga. Cooper is also directing the movie. Gaga will be billed by her birth name, Stefani Germanotta, for her role.
She plays an unknown talent named Ally who is sherpherded by Cooper’s character Jackson Maine. This will be the fourth time this story has been told in Hollywood, with the first having been released in 1937 and starring Janet Gaynor and Frederic March. In 1954, Judy Garland starred opposite James Mason, and in 1976, Barbra Streisand sang opposite Kris Kristofferson. The project’s sound guy has revealed that Gaga will be singing all the film’s songs live on set – including a few of her own.
“You sit there and you think, ‘Lady Gaga wants all the vocals live. She wants to perform live every single time you see her sing. She’s going to be live,’” said the Oscar nominee in February.
The film is set for release in Sept. 2018.
