Jason Priestly, the Beverly Hills 90210 star, shared an interesting yet unappealing “game” he and his former roommate, Brad Pitt, used to play – seeing who could wait to shower the longest.
“We used to play this game to see who could go the longest without showering,” Priestly recounted on Live! with Kelly and Mark.
The two lived together for a brief period in “a two-bedroom apartment in a really crappy part of [Los Angeles],” trying to scrape by as struggling actors before they landed bigger roles that eventually led them to part ways as housemates.
When asked by cohost Kelly Ripa, who “succeeded” in this questionable game, Priestly responded, “Brad. Always Brad.”
The two got along as housemates and survived off of “ramen noodles and generic beer.” Priestly shared that they were very compatible as roommates and recounted more of their glory days in the interview.
When Priestly landed his role on 90210, and Pitt got his big break in the film Thelma and Louise, the two eventually split ways, leading them to lose touch with each other. Pitt was traveling the world and doing more movies, while Priestly stayed in Hollywood, continuing shooting his TV show.
Fame from their big breaks caused more than just their friendship to drift, and it “tore apart” their entire friend group. “We all sort of dissipated, and it was sad,” recalled Priestly.
