Brad Pitt, 48, has made a name for himself as an actor, philanthropist and partner of Angelina Jolie. Now, he is looking to carve out a place for himself in furniture design.
Pitt, the star of the upcoming World War Z, has teamed with designer Frank Pollaro to create his own furniture line. The two began collaborating in 2008, and as of this past January, meet up in Pitt’s Provence, France, estate at least once a month. "The pieces are not only aesthetically beautiful, but technically complex," Pollaro told E! Online. "Together, we selected the pieces from his sketchbooks, which are filled with thousands of drawings. The designs are 100 percent Brad's."
The furnishings will be of a limited edition and signed and numbered. For those interested in checking out their works, the duo will be launching a website on Nov. 11, with the unveiling of their prototypes to take place in New York City from Nov. 13 to Nov. 15. Those looking to purchase items will be able to do so at the event.
