Brad Pitt Denies Rumors That He Is Dating Swedish Singer Lykke Li

After rumors circulated that Brad Pitt may have started a relationship with Swedish singer Lykke Li,  the actor reportedly confirmed that the two are just friends and not dating.

Li is part of a group of artsy friends” that Pitt has been spending more time with recently. Another member of the group is Search Party star Alia Shawkat, who was also suspected of dating the Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor when they were spotted together in 2019.

It must be frustrating to be suspected of dating every woman you spend some amount of time with.

Pitt is reportedly not seriously dating right now, which makes sense given that he has likely been more focused on his ongoing custody battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. Pitt was most recently romantically linked to the Polish model Nicole Poturalski, but the two were only romantically involved for a few months in 2020.

According to a 2019 interview with The New York Times Magazine, Pitt does not keep up with rumors about his love life, cracking that “I don’t know how many women they’ve said I’ve been dating the last two or three years, and none of it’s true.”

Pitt then recalled a humorous anecdote that convinced him to stop keeping up with the tabloids. “When I first started my career, I was in USA Today. I was pretty pleased with myself,” Pitt began, a seemingly innocuous story.  “Two days after it came out, I go over to a friend’s house. In the kitchen, I look down and there’s a litter box for the cat – and there’s my piece in USA Today with a cat turd on top of it. That pretty much sums it up.”
