Brad Pitt’s Court Fight Against Ex Angelina Jolie Over French Vineyard Heats Up
Former celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s legal battle over their French vineyard Château Miraval is heating up.
Since they split in 2016, Pitt and Jolie have continuously battled over custody of their children, finances and property affairs.
In the case over their vineyard, Pitt is suing Jolie for selling her share to Yuri Shefler, a Russian oligarch, without his knowledge or agreement. According to the filing, Jolie breached the terms of the contract. The Los Angeles Superior Court ruled that the case could go forward with a trial.
Pitt claimed Shefler tried to “bully” and “threaten” him after he found out about the sale through a press release. Pitt has accused Jolie of “looting” and “stripping” the company.
“This is all about standing up to bullies and defending his own people, principles and the truth. Brad is standing firm for what he believes in,” a source told Page Six.
Although Jolie and Pitt share joint custody of their six children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Vivienne, Shiloh and Knox—the children spend more time with Jolie and rarely see Pitt.
Pax, one of their sons, has said he no longer has a relationship with Pitt, calling his adoptive father an “awful human.” Zahara has also removed Pitt’s last name from her legal name.
While Jolie lives with the children, Pitt currently lives with his new girlfriend, Ines de Ramon. The couple have been together for over a year.
