Sacha Baron Cohen got back into character as Borat for Tuesday night’s Election Day episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
During the episode, the British comedian went door to door in a wealthy Los Angeles neighborhood to talk to voters about the midterm elections, in an attempt to gain support for President Donald Trump and the GOP.
“Russia interfere with the presidential election,” Borat said. “But now, all eyes are on them. So, it’s up to Kazakhstan to swing the midterms for Premier Trump. I come to California to do election tampering.”

As he spoke with Trump supporters, he discovered how they felt about a range of topics, from the administration’s border family separation policy to racism. At his first door, Borat talked about how “fake news people” are saying that Trump is “bad to immigrant children” and that he keeps Mexican children in “cages.” The supporter defended Trump, and in response, Borat said, “A cage for [Mexican children] is a nicest place they ever been.”
To another Trump supporter, Borat asked, “Who are the fake news who say that he is not a racist?” The man replied, “In my opinion, the fake news people say he is a racist and I don’t believe he is and I don’t see any evidence of that.” Borat then added, “But what is the problem being a racist? I am a racist, it is nice.”
At one point while at the polling place, Borat even threw a piece of uncooked bacon at a Jewish voter and yelled, “you shall not pass!” in an attempt to keep him from voting.
“That is enough election tampering for one day,” Borat concluded. “Back to you now, Jimmy, you liberal elitist Hollywood-bubble globalist Jew mouthpiece.”
Cohen recently made headlines in July with his Showtime series Who Is America, in which he disguised himself and pranked several politicians and public figures. Over the summer, the network revealed that the series could return for another season, even though Cohen had sent out a tweet saying that the season one finale was the last episode “ever.”
