Emmy Miller, the 19-month-old daughter of Olympic skier Bode Miller, died Sunday after a pool-related accident at a neighbor’s party on Saturday night in Orange County, California. Miller confirmed the sad news via Instagram:
Paramedics attempted but were unable to resuscitate Emmy with CPR at the scene, so they then transported her to the hospital, where she ultimately passed away. It is not known how long she was in the pool, and the official cause of death has not been released, as the investigation is still ongoing.
