Bobby Brown left his fans confused Saturday night at the Verizon Theatre in Dallas when he spoke about his daughter Bobbi Kristina.

Bobby Brown Says Bobbi Kristina Is Awake

“Bobbi is awake. She’s watching me,” Brown told the stunned crowd, who didn’t know whether the singer meant that she was out of a coma or if he was talking about her spirit.

At the Soul Food Festival earlier this year in downtown Los Angeles, Brown thanked the fans for their support and hinted that his daughter’s prognosis was not looking good.

“I wanna thank all of y’all for coming out tonight, for supporting me and my family,” Brown said of his only daughter with Whitney Houston. “Rough times are rough times. Hard times are hard times. I don’t know what the hell I’m going through right now, but I’m giving it to God.”

Brown’s wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown, was also present at the event, serving at the Bobby Brown Foods booth. Asked about the family, she said that it was “doing as well as you’d expect” to People magazine.

Bobbi Kristina, 22, has been on life support and in a medically induced coma since Jan. 31, when she was found unresponsive in the bathtub of her Atlanta area home.
