Bobby Brown Jr., the late son of singer Bobby Brown, died from a combination of alcohol and drugs in November.
In an autopsy report released Monday, Brown Jr. died with alcohol, cocaine and opioid fentanyl in his system when he was found dead in his Los Angeles home on November 18, 2020. At the time, authorities believed that no foul play was involved with his death.
Brown Jr.’s girlfriend found him unresponsive on his bedroom floor and called paramedics, who later declared him, according to the report.
The 28-year-old had a history or drug and alcohol use and his death was ruled an accident.
The elder Brown rose to fame in the early 80s with New Edition and he was one of the biggest solo artists in the late 80s and 90s.
In 2012, Brown’s ex-wife, Whitney Houston, was found dead after drowning in a Beverly Hills hotel room bathtub. The singer’s heart disease and cocaine use were contributing factors in her death, said the coroner’s office at the time.
Three years later in 2015, Houston and Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, was found face-down in an Atlanta bathtub. The 22-year-old was in a coma for six months before passing away. An autopsy revealed that she had cocaine, morphine, alcohol and prescription drugs in her body. Her ex-boyfriend, Nick Gordon was found liable for her death in a lawsuit but he was never criminally charged. He died last year.
