Cissy Houston finally broke her silence on the health status of her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, Wednesday.
Houston, the surviving mother of legendary singer Whitney Houston, talked about Bobbi Kristina’s condition for the first time on New York radio station WBLS 107.5. When asked about how the 22-year-old is doing, Houston admitted that things aren’t looking up.
“She’s the same,” Houston said, adding later, “Still not a great of hope.”
Houston went on to confirm reports that Bobbi Kristina had been moved out of Emory University Hospital to a rehabilitation facility.
“We’ve moved her to a place for rehabilitation,” Houston said. “[We’re] still praying.”
When the DJ noted that prayers have been pouring in for Bobbi Kristina’s granddaughter, Houston, 81, said, she feels “every bit of it” – though continual prayer isn’t how she’s choosing to pray.
“I don’t pray like that. I give it to God one time because he’s able,” Houston said. “And I cannot change a thing. I’m asking everybody, to just pray to the Lord who we know CAN do something about it. If he works a miracle, thank God. If it happens the other way, I’m alright.”
Bobbi Kristina has remained in a medically induced coma since Jan. 31, when she was found unresponsive in a bathroom in her Atlanta area home.
