Bob Harper, long-time trainer on The Biggest Loser, will replace Alison Sweeney as host for Season 17.
Harper, 50, who has been with the show since it debuted in 2004, will be hosting Season 17, People reported.
“I’m super excited about taking the position of host on The Biggest Loser,” Harper said in a press release. “I”ve been with the show since Season 1, so I know all of the ins and outs, and let me tell you, the weigh-in room is going to be a completely different ballgame with me at the steering wheel.”
Along with hosting – guiding contestants through challenges and weigh-ins – Harper will also be offering contestants his training expertise throughout the season.
Trainers Dolvett Quince and Jennifer Widerstrom will join Harper in combat this season.
Season 17 of The Biggest Loser has been recruiting pairs for the show and will start filming this month.
He added, “I just tweeted everything I could think of and I’m still alive.”
