Blood-Stained Military Horses Break Loose In Central London, Four People Injured

A group of military horses caused havoc in central London after breaking loose, resulting in injuries to soldiers and civilians before being captured.

According to a spokesperson from the British Army, three soldiers were injured and subsequently taken to the hospital. Fortunately, a fourth soldier who was thrown from their horse escaped unharmed.

The London Ambulance Service reported treating four injured individuals and transporting them to the hospital. However, it remains unclear who the fourth injured person was.

Eyewitnesses recounted scenes of chaos as the horses dashed through Whitehall and Victoria, and two of them ventured as far as Limehouse and Shadwell. Images circulated on social media that showed one of the horses covered in blood, while another collided with a taxi and yet another shattered the windshield of a double-decker bus.

The Household Cavalry, responsible for the horses, stated that a number of personnel and horses were injured in the incident and received necessary medical attention. It appears that the horses, usually part of the daily morning exercise routine, became startled and uncontrollable, which led to their escape.

The London Ambulance Service responded promptly to multiple distress calls as the chaos unfolded. In an updated statement, the service confirmed its involvement: “We responded to several calls regarding an incident with horses on the loose in central London this morning. We sent multiple resources to the three scenes, including ambulance crews, paramedics in response cars, and an incident response officer. We treated four patients in total and took them all to hospital, and we have now been stood down.”

The situation caused significant disruption and raised concerns for the safety of both the public and the animals involved. Authorities swiftly intervened to capture the horses and restore order to the affected areas. An investigation will likely be conducted to determine the causes behind the horses’ sudden agitation and the subsequent breach of control.

Steps may be taken to review and enhance the training and handling procedures employed by the military to ensure the well-being of both soldiers and the animals under their care.
