Blake Lively Says Her Kids Have Been ‘Traumatized’ & She Struggles To Get Out Of Bed Due To Drama With Justin Baldoni

In an amended complaint in a New York federal court on Tuesday, actress Blake Lively alleged that the back-and-forth drama between herself and her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni has not only caused her serious grief but also “traumatized” her children.

Lively shares her four children, James, 10, Inez, 8, Betty, 5, and Olin, 2, with her husband Ryan Reynolds.

Lively first sued Baldoni for sexual harassment in December and accused him of organizing a smear campaign against her to “destroy” her reputation. In response, Baldoni is suing The New York Times for $250 million, and counter-suing Lively and Reynolds for $400 million, alleging that the couple is trying to destroy his career and reputation. A New York judge informed Baldoni and Lively that a trial is set to take place in March 2026.

The amended document declares that the “emotional impact” of the online scrutiny resulting from the extremely public legal battle has been “extreme” for Lively’s family. The document reads, “There are days when she has struggled to get out of bed, and she frequently chooses not to venture outside in public.”

It continued, “While she has fought to maintain her personal life and business interests, behind closed doors she has suffered from grief, fear, trauma, and extreme anxiety…Worst of all, however, has been the impact on their young children, who have been traumatized and emotionally uprooted in ways that have substantially impacted their well-being.”

The statement seemed at odds with Reynolds and Lively appearance at the Saturday Night Live 50 event in New York City last week. Reynolds even made a brief joke about the drama with Baldoni.

Lively further claimed in the document that she could support her accusations of harassment against Baldoni via other women’s inappropriate experiences with the actor on set. The amendment shared that other victims of harassment from Baldoni, “Have given Ms. Lively permission to share the substance of their communications,” and “will testify and produce responsive documents in the discovery process.”

The document continued, “The experiences of Ms. Lively and others were documented at the time they occurred starting in May of 2023…Importantly, and contrary to the entire narrative Defendants have invented, Mr. Baldoni acknowledged the complaints in writing at the time.”

Lively started to make headlines last year for her “tone-deaf” marketing tactics for It Ends With Us, a film centered around domestic abuse. In Lively’s December lawsuit, she claimed that Baldoni had orchestrated the backlash she received.
