Netflix has announced that Black Mirror is getting a season five.

Information on when the series will be released or how many episodes will be produced has not been confirmed yet.

The teaser showed a clip reference from season two with an end note saying, “Be right back.” The tweet read, “The future will be brighter than ever.”

 

The series launched in Britain with season one airing only three episodes in 2011 and season two also airing three episodes. Netflix picked up the show in 2015 and aired six episodes in 2016 and 2017.

 

Black Mirror is an anthology series that depicts a technology-obsessed future on steroids. It “explores themes of contemporary techno-paranoia leading to an unforgettable – and sometimes unsettling – conclusion,” according to the network.

Season 1-4 are available to stream on Netflix.
