‘Black-ish’ Star Anthony Anderson Hospitalized After Movie Stunt ‘Gone Wrong’
Black-ish star Anthony Anderson went to the ER after an on-set movie stunt went wrong.
Anderson shared the news through an Instagram post, showing the actor on a hospital gurney. Despite his condition, Anderson smiled and held a peace sign to the camera.
Anderson captioned the post: “I spent the night in the emergency room. Movie set fight gone wrong. Me against two goons and a chair! Guess who didn’t win! Who needs a stuntman? Me that’s who!”
The actor also mentioned in the post that X-rays and CT scans did not show any signs of fractures or broken bones, “just a deep contusion.”
“Bloodied and bowed but never broken!” Anderson added.
After, Anderson posted another photo to Instagram of the chair “that whooped [his] a– last night.” The post’s location was set to Cape Town, South Africa. Anderson continued to post about the chairs, joking that he got his revenge.
Fans and fellow co-stars have expressed their relief that Anderson is in good spirits over his injuries. Last month, Anderson hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards. He is currently filming an upcoming movie titled G20 alongside Viola Davis, Antony Starr, and other stars.
