‘Birdman’ And ‘Boyhood’ Lead SAG Award Nominations

Birdman led the Screen Actors Guild Award nominations with four – one in almost every major acting category – including Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Screen Actors Guild Award Nominations

SAG announced the nominations on Wednesday, awarding Birdman nominations for Michael Keaton, Edward Norton, Emma Stone and Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Joining Keaton in the Oustanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role category are Steve Carell, whose dramatic performance in Foxcatcher has been generating major Oscar buzz, Jake Gyllenhaal (Nightcrawler), Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) and Benedict Cumberbatch, who is staring in The Imitation Game.
