Billy Ray Cyrus Accused Of ‘Extreme Emotional Abuse’ By Wife Firerose As Messy Divorce Gets Messier

In the latest development in the tumultuous divorce proceedings between Billy Ray Cyrus and his estranged wife Firerose, new allegations and claims have emerged, painting a complex picture of their relationship’s demise.

According to Cyrus, Firerose, 36, “begged” him to take her back in a handwritten love note after he filed for divorce last month. The country star, 62, made this claim in a supplement to his initial annulment and divorce complaint filed on May 23.

Cyrus’ attorneys, Rose Palermo and Jason Talley, stated that their client “discovered a handwritten note” from Firerose “professing her love and need to be with Mr. Cyrus” when he returned to his home two days after Firerose “was required by Court Order, to vacate his residence of over 25 years.”

The note, as provided by Cyrus’ lawyers, reads: “I miss you more than I can possibly explain in words, Baby… Please let’s work this out and not become anything but closer out of this hellish experience… I need you. I love you. I am so sorry.”

Cyrus’ lawyers also claim that Firerose allegedly sent a text message to their client after she was obliged to leave his residence and expressed her desperation to reconcile and her inability to eat or live without him.

However, these claims come after Firerose filed for divorce herself and accused Cyrus of “extreme verbal, emotional and psychological abuse,” according to court documents filed in Tennessee on June 14. In her filing, Firerose also claims that Cyrus filed for divorce just one day before she was scheduled to undergo a double mastectomy.

Cyrus’ lawyers have responded to Firerose’s allegations, calling them “especially confusing and suspicious in its veracity since she begged Mr. Cyrus to forgive her and take her back only two days after he filed his pleadings to dissolve his marriage.”

Cyrus has accused Firerose of lying about her previous marital history and her last name and of attempting to use the Cyrus name to further her own career.

The singer has had a checkered marital history. In 2022, Cyrus divorced his wife, Tish, for the third time.
