Billy Joel Weds Girlfriend Alexis Roderick In Long Island

Billy Joel married his pregnant girlfriend Alexis Roderick in a surprise wedding over Fourth of July weekend in Long Island.

Joel, 65, and Roderick, 33, wed at the “Longest Time” singer’s estate in Long Island. The nuptials came as a complete surprise to friends and family alike, who thought that they were merely attending a holiday party.

“’[They] surprised guests at their annual July 4th party by exchanging views in front of their family and close friends,” Joel’s rep told Us Weekly.

Joel and Roderick were wed by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Among the Fourth of July party-turned-wedding attendees were Joel’s daughter Alexa Ray, his ex-wife Christie Brinkley and actor Kevin James.

Brinkley, who was married to Joel from 1985 to 1994, took to Instagram to celebrate her one time husband’s new marriage, captioning a picture of him and his wife, “Congratulations to the glowing bride and groom. And to my daughter Alexa, who has a wonderful friend in Alexis! Wishing the growing family every happiness!”

In addition to Brinkley, Joel was married two other times before – to Elizabeth Weber (1973-1982) and to celebrity chef Katie Lee (2004-2010).

Joel and Roderick have been dating since 2009. Earlier this year, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together.
