Billie Eilish, 21, and Jesse Rutherford, 31, have broken up after spending less than a year together.

Their last public appearance was last month at Coachella.

The pair were first seen together last October when they caught them eating at a vegan restaurant in Los Angeles. Their status was unclear at the time until Eilish posted an Instagram picture of them together during Halloween, confirming their relationship.

In an interview with Vanity Fair, the 21-year-old singer enthusiastically described Rutherford as the “hottest f–king f–ker alive.”

The pair sparked controversy when people voiced their concerns about the couple’s ten-year age gap, with some noting Rutherford’s acquaintance with Eilish when she was still a minor.

In Eilish’s November 2022 social media post of her and Rutherford at the 11th Annual LACMA Art + Film Gala, one person commented, “As someone who just turned 30 and interacts with a 20-year-old often at work, that’s still mentally a teenager to me.”

Some have defended the couple and said that Eilish is a consenting adult.

The “Ocean Eyes” singer has previously been linked with Matthew Tyler Vorce and Brandon Quentin Adams

The Neighborhood’s lead vocalist, on the other hand, was in a long-time relationship with ex-girlfriend, Devon Lee Carson
