Bill Cosby’s Mugshot Released
Bill Cosby was charged with felony sexual assault on Wednesday, and the comedian’s mugshot hit social media shortly after his arrest.
Bill Cosby Mugshot Is Revealed
Cosby’s assault charges result from the alleged 2004 assault of Andrea Constand in Pennsylvania, according to prosecutors and court documents.
After a brief court appearance in Elkins Park, Penn., Cosby was released on $1 million bail and the judge wished him “good luck.”
Following court, Cosby was processed and had his mug shot taken at the Cheltenham Police Department.
Philadelphia Daily News reporter Stephanie Farr immediately took to Twitter to share Cosby’s mugshot.
Cosby also turned over his passport to the court and did not enter a plea.
“The charge by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office came as no surprise, filed 12 years after the alleged incident and coming on the heels of a hotly contested election for this county’s DA during which this case was made the focal point,” Cosby’s attorney, Monique Pressley, said in a statement to ABC News.
“Make no mistake, we intend to mount a vigorous defense against this unjustified charge and we expect that Mr. Cosby will be exonerated by a court of law,” Pressley added.
Cosby’s next court hearing is scheduled for Jan. 14.
