Nearly six months after five women, who had previously accused Bill Cosby of sexual assault, filed new lawsuits against him under New York’s Adult Survivors Act, former Playboy model Victoria Valentino, 80, has filed her own lawsuit.
Valentino’s lawsuit follows California’s bill to temporarily extend the statute of limitations in sexual assault cases that exceed the 10-year statute of limitations. She claims that she was drugged and raped by the comedian after they ran into each other at a restaurant in Los Angeles in 1969. Valentino first made accusations against Cosby in 2014.
She says that Cosby came up to her when she was crying over the death of her son and gave her a pill. He reassured her that the pill would make her feel better. After taking it, she purportedly became debilitated by the drug and “engaged in forced sexual intercourse” with Cosby.

Valentino stated in a press release that she was exploited by him when she was in grief. She said, “By breaking my silence and speaking my truth, I hope this serves as my legacy to my family and shows those survivors who have yet to find their voices that hope and healing are possible.”
Andrew Wyatt, Cosby’s spokesperson, claimed the lawsuit was a targeted strike against “the Black men in America,” citing that Cosby couldn’t call up witnesses to testify on his behalf due to the length of time passed since the alleged incident. He also stated that the new legislation that permitted Valentino’s lawsuit violated Cosby’s constitutional rights.
In 2018, Cosby was convicted after Andrea Constand, an employee at Temple University, said he drugged and sexually assaulted her in her home in 2004. He was sent to prison for three to 10 years but only served two years before the ruling was overturned by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
