A photo published Tuesday in tabloids revealed how the relationship between former New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, began on a February 2021 flight.
The image shows a smiling Hudson, 24, dressed in a white shirt, seated next to Belichick, 72, wearing a Rutgers sweatshirt.
The six-time Super Bowl winner with the Patriots was intrigued by Hudson’s philosophy project at the time. Belichick autographed a copy of her textbook Deductive Logic, writing: “Jordon, Thanks for giving me a course on logic! Safe travels!”
He listed the Super Bowl titles he captured in New England: 36, 38, 39, 49, 51 and 53.
Belichick and Hudson’s romance blossomed after he broke up with longtime girlfriend Linda Holliday, with whom he had a drawn-out breakup.
Fans have been quick to slam both for the huge age difference in the relationship.
Months later, Belichick’s tenure with the Patriots ended after 24 seasons, the last of which was a 4-13 disappointment. He interviewed for Atlanta’s coaching vacancy before Raheem Morris got the job.
Belichick recently stopped at Gillette Stadium to celebrate former quarterback Tom Brady‘s induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame. The legendary coach and quarterback won six titles together before Brady, 46, left for Tampa Bay after 2019.
“To Coach Belichick, thank you for your tireless commitment to develop and push me,” Brady said during his ceremony this month. “It wasn’t me, it wasn’t you, it was us.”
