The ladies of the HBO series Big Little Lies went to Instagram to share with fans that they are back for season two.
Reese Witherspoon, who plays Madeline Mackenzie, shared a photo of her posing with Laura Dern, who plays Renata Klein, the series antagonist in the first season. Dern recently won an a Golden Globe for her supporting role as Klein. They are dressed in character in front of the Seaside Coffee Shop. Witherspoon shared the photo with the caption, “Watch out Monterey, here we come!”

Zoe Kravitz, who plays free-spirited mom Bonnie Carlson, shared a selfie of herself a few days before with the caption, “Bonnie’s. Back.”
Shailene Woodley, who plays single mother Jane Chapman, also shared a picture of herself back on set on Instagram.
According to the show’s synopsis, the new season will “explore the malignancy of lies, the durability of friendships, the fragility of marriage and, of course, the vicious ferocity of sound parenting.”

Big Little Lie actors Adam Scott, James Tupper, Jeffrey Nordling and Iain Armitage are all expected to return for the second season. Meryl Streep is also set to join the cast for the second season. Alongside Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman will also be returning as an executive producer.
Though production has begun, the show is not set to be release the seven episode season until 2019.
