‘Big Brother’ Contestant Luke Valentine Removed From Show For Using Racial Slur

Big Brother contestant Luke Valentine was removed from the show after he said the N-word while engaging in a conversation with other houseguests.

Valentine was speaking with Jared Fields, Cory Wurtenberger and Hisam Goueli when he stated, “I’m in the f—ing cheese room, n—–.”  He then backtracked after realizing what he said and instead used the word “dude.” He repeated the sentence without using the slur saying, “Anyways, we were in the f—ing cheese room.”

Wurtenberger and Goueli were shocked by Valentine while Fields laughed and told him, “Yo, you’re off the f—ing ledge.”

Valentine later told Fields, “He got more mad about that than you. A little slip of the tongue.” It was hard to gauge Fields’s reaction, who is black, as he responded with, “I don’t give a f—.” It is unclear whether Fields was telling the truth or if he was just trying to keep his composure as he was being recorded.

Valentine knew that he was going to get in trouble as he later said, “Well, I’m in trouble now. I’ve been in worse trouble.”

CBS released a statement about the incident. “Luke violated the Big Brother code of conduct and there is zero tolerance in the house for using a racial slur. He has been removed from the house. His departure will be addressed in Thursday night’s show.”

Valentine recently joined Big Brother for the premiere of their 25th season this month. He is from Weston, Florida, and works as an illustrator. During the show, he described himself as a “starving artist” and “airhead.” He was confident that he would win the show this season, which he was evidently wrong about.

On Saturday, Valentine posted a clip on his Instagram of him saying, “I know I’m going to win Big Brother because I got the hunger to win at all costs.”

The concept of the reality show is that a group of people live together in one house and are recorded 24 hours a day. Every week one person is voted out of the home by the other houseguests until there is only one person left, who wins $750,000.
