Previously on Big Brother, Paul won the all-important HoH and PoV competitions and set his sights on NiCorey. With James being left off the block, he was solely responsible for deciding which of NiCorey would be joining he and Paul in the final two. James cast his sole vote against Corey, evicting him just short of the finale three.

The houseguests, dressed as cats, began part one of the final HoH competition as the episode drew to a close.

Big Brother 18 Finale Recap

Last night’s finale picked up in the middle of part one of the final HoH competition. James, Nicole and Paul chased around a laser and battled it out in several cat-themed endurance contests. Before long both Nicole and James fell from one of the walls, leaving Paul (UGH) the winner of round one instantly advancing him to the final round of the HoH competition.

The second round of the HoH competition began shortly afterwards. James and Nicole took a trip to the BB Carnival and had to recall events from the past 99 days. The houseguest that correctly answers the questions in the shortest amount of time wins. Nicole beat James by a sizeable amount of time and advanced to the final round of the HoH competition against Paul (am I actually rooting for Ratcole? YEP).

Big Brother alum, Dr. Will, joined the first eight jury members to discuss which of the top three is most deserving of the $500,000 cash prize. Michelle, in true Big Meech fashion, sobbed when the other houseguests believed that Nicole played a smart game (LOL). The jury was gridlocked between Paul and Nicole for who is more deserving of the prize.

The final round of the HoH competition saw Nicole and Paul answering questions on what their fellow houseguests have said about their summer in the Big Brother house. In the end Paul answered more questions correctly and became the final HoH (PISSED). Paul evicted James making him the final member of the jury and solidifying himself and Nicole as the final two.

After a round of questioning from the jury, Paul and Nicole give their final pleas as to why they should win the cash prize. Motor-mouth Paul gave a compelling speech full of “friendship” (kill me) while Nicole’s was less articulate, but very charming and equally as convincing. As the votes are revealed, the 23-year-old ER nurse Nicole became the winner of Big Brother by a vote of 5-4. Nicole made Big Brother history by being the first woman to ever beat a man in the final two (YASSSS). America’s Favorite Player was also crowned this season with my hubby Victor taking home the $25,000 prize.

As yet another season of Big Brother comes to an end, a new Big Brother spin-off (Big Brother: Over the Top) premieres exclusively on CBS All-Access next week. See you next summer, Chenbot.
