After the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl win, President Joe Biden embraced the former right-wing “Dark Brandon” meme.
A post shared to X from Biden’s account shows a photo of the president with edited red laser eyes.
The photo is a reference to the “Dark Brandon” meme, dubbed Biden’s alter ego by Democrats.
Conspiracy theories about the Chiefs’ win arose amidst Taylor Swift and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce‘s relationship. In January, former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy claimed the Super Bowl would be rigged to allow the Chiefs to win. He believed it would be a setup for Swift to endorse Biden’s presidential campaign, landing him a second term in office.
With a close game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Chiefs took home the victory with a final touchdown in the last three seconds of the first overtime quarter.
Biden celebrated the win with tweets from the POTUS account. One included a humourous Q&A with the president.
The X account also changed its profile photo to “Dark Brandon.”
Swift did, in fact, attend the Super Bowl but did not make any political statements.
