Beyoncé’s Mother, Tina Knowles, Calls Out ‘Losers’ For Accusing Singer Of ‘Wanting To Be White’

Beyoncé‘s mother, Tina Knowles, took to Instagram after a slew of online attacks were aimed at her eldest daughter for her appearance at the L.A. premiere of her Renaissance concert film.

Accompanied by a silver dress and gloves, Beyonce wore her hair in a beautiful platinum wave down her back.

While many praised her look, a segment of social media launched a critique of Beyoncé in which they accused her of attempting to emulate “whiteness” and engage in skin-lightening practices.

The singer did not respond, but Knowles felt compelled to address the issue.

In response to the barrage of backlash, Knowles posted one of the offensive comments to Instagram and captioned the post with her thoughts on the matter.

She started, “Came across this today and decided to post it after seeing all of the stupid, ignorant self-hating racist statements about [Beyonce] lightening her skin, and wearing platinum hair wanting to be white.”

Knowles went on to question the logic of those who alleged that Beyoncé tried to emulate a white woman or bleach her skin. She reminded them that the film itself was centered around a silver theme, and featured silver hair, a silver carpet and suggested silver attire. It was nothing more than a creative choice.

Knowles recounted an incident in which a reporter reached out to Beyoncé’s hairstylist for a statement and informed the stylist that fans had claimed Beyoncé wanted to be white. This incident only added to her frustration.

“Well, that made my blood boil,” and added, “that this white woman felt so entitled to discuss her Blackness.”

Knowles continued to defend Beyoncé’s artistic choices and her commitment to her craft.

She reiterated that Beyoncé’s creative expressions should be celebrated rather than misconstrued.

Knowles concluded, “I am sick of you losers. I know that she is going to be p—– at me for doing this, but I am fed up! This girl minds her own business. She helps people whenever she can. She lifts up and promotes Black women and underdogs at all times…”

Beyoncé was recently in the news for flying a disabled fan to see her concert in Seattle.
